In order for a construction machine to function properly, it must not only be properly operated during everyday work. But also react quickly and correctly to any defects that arise.
If we neglect the daily care of the machine, we can lead to a serious failure. It will not only entail high costs, but also block the possibility of using the machine for longer. And we all know that the machinery – to make a profit – they must be in constant motion. In fact, immediate reaction to all faults in the long run is simply more profitable.
Before starting work on the machine, the operator is obliged to carry out a civil liability insurance – “daily maintenance”. During the daily maintance, he should be interested not only in the levels of operating fluids and servicing of lubrication points. He should also check all leaks, abrasions in hydraulic lines or damage to structural elements of the machine.
When using a construction machine, you must remember about regular lubrication of the cohesive points – the pins that work in the sleeve. They should be made of high-grade abrasion-resistant steel (hardness should be in the range of 50-60 HRC). Very often, channels are bored in the pins and sleeves to keep the lubricant. Regular refilling will result in significantly less wear.
Problems related to the wear of individual machine elements usually arise in an avalanche. One play determines and accelerates the formation of another.
BUSHING
If regular lubrication is neglected, friction will increase significantly, leading to backlash. The bolts then move radially – they touch the sleeve wall before each movement. This creates considerable pressure at the contact points and accelerates wear. The radial movement of the pins leads to a groove in the socket in which the sleeve is located. The greater the play, the greater the wear.
Bushing is a method of regenerating moving parts of a machine that have suffered a loss as a result of irregular lubrication. It significantly eliminates machine failures and extends their service life. Bushing consists in extending the sleeve to a larger diameter, surfacing the dished socket and expanding to the correct size. This process restores the original shape of the bushing and eliminates unnecessary stresses. Our company provides bushing services – if you have any questions, please contact us.
