Carrier assy – what is it?

How to avoid damage?
The biggest adventage of planetary gears is their endurance. But as our experience shows – they become damaged quite often. The most common reason of the failure is of course the lack of oil in the planetary gear. Therefore, it should be checked regulary, because its deficit leads not only to seizing up the bearings or wiping the rollers, but also to breaking the entire body of the hub.
Carrier assy can also be destroyed if the oil level is normal, but the main bearing have to be replaced due to work out. In this situation the excavator makes a specific crack. If you ignored that, the bearing will crumble, fall between the satellites and damage them. As a result travel final drive need to be regenerate.
The damage is also because of the fact that seals have worked out. If you notice leaks, you should immediately deal with regeneration.
First of all, planetary gears are very popular because they allow you to freely chenge speed and rotation force. They are used especially in those machines that operate at high turns and are small overall dimensions. Their adventage is the mulitpoint drive transport. Thanks to this individual teeth in the toothed wheels are exposed to lower load. This affects the life of the planetary gear.
Therefor, for years the use of planetary gearbox is the best method of drive transfer in tracked machines.
