The hydromotor, like any of the operators, consists of two parts. Namely, from a hydraulic engine and a rotational speed reducer, i.e. a planetary gear commonly known as a hub reduction gear. The driving engine itself does not fail as such. This engine has it to itself, it just consumes and depending on the level of operation, it will lose its strength every few years. The reason for the weakening of the engine is the wear of the piston pump driver, which can be successfully regenerated. Most often, however, the transmission gear, redundant. There is a seizure of the bearings, wear of attacking rollers, deformation of the teeth. In extreme cases, even to break the body of the reducer. All these defects are a consequence of the lack of gearbox oil.
Operator:
- remember to check the oil level in the gearbox at least every 100 hours. This can be done by unscrewing the center cork of the radiators cover. If the oil level is lower than the cork height (half of the lid), it should be topped up by the top plug to the middle height.
- check the condition of the seals. Monitor whether a dark “sludge” is collected between the transmission and the drive motor from the lower side or there are no leaks. If this is the case immediately, take steps to regenerate the seals of the floating gears. Such symptoms are the beginning of the end of the reducer.
- check if strange noises are heard from the transmission. Despite the fact that the condition of the oil in the transmission will be at the appropriate level, it happens that the main bearings of the reducer need to be replaced. If you do not recognize this at the time of bearing, they will fall apart, falling in between the satellites and the effect will be the need to regenerate the transmission.
